MM Home Tour with Jonna Saarinen

Isn’t it fun looking around other peoples homes? and I have to say it was a joy to look around and photograph the oh so talented Jonna Saarinen’s. Jonna is a textile designer and her Norwegian background, love of colour and vintage and obsession with the Moomins shines through in her home which you can find in its full glory in this months Mollie Makes. You can find copies here.

I want that giant ruler!!……………. Cherry Press Letterpress Stationery

Cherry Press COMP12

I’m a little bit in love with David from Cherry Press letterpress stationery, his work is beautifully made with super detail orientated design and just bloody different! With the resurgence of traditional printing methods over the last 5 years, love of craftmanship, this is a hard thing to do, but David does it with bags of style. So enough of my bigging the boy up and showing off my wonderous photography and his incredible stationery. You can now actually visit him and his lovely wife Amie, at their own shop/studio in Chipping Campden. How cool is this place? I want that giant ruler!!

And a just a few more of Davids beautiful wedding stationery designs…..

Outlaw Handmade and Artisan Events

How much fun did I have at Outlaw Handmade & Artisan Event in Bristol? A lot!! It was full of talented makers, cool workshops for everyone and yummy homemade food, a perfect combination in my book. Take a peak……

Its taken me a while to blog about his one as it took place at the start of May but I must say was such a friendly event, it felt like being part of one big family. Outlaws next event is in Falmouth and takes place next week, between the 11th and 16th August. It will have a marquee full of the best local designer-makers and food and drink producers showcasing their amazing products, with live music, delicious street food and Summer Breeze bar. The perfect place to while away an hour or two in the summer sun.

Bright Young Things with Sheila Bownas

Sheila Bownas Collection 2015 - 1

Bloody hell, isn’t every collaborative collection that Chelsea Cefai creates from the Sheila Bownas print archive amazing! I had the pleasure of working with Chelsea on this series of images, of products made in collaboration with Elisabeth Barry (top left), Zoe Darlington (top right) and Sarah Waterhouse (bottom left). Chelsea has an incredible eye for shape, form and colour and how they work together as well as making the best sandwiches in the world (its the bread!) If you haven’t seen the recent coverage of the 2015 collection, there has been plenty from print to blogs and social media. If you’d like to see the whole collection take a look at the Sheila Bownas website where pieces can be bought from as little as ¬£45.

Look at my pictures! Aren’t they so cool! It was great to be asked by Katie and Richard for some help, photographing their gorgeous girls, Lulu and Hattie for their new business LULUZULU. Their first designs are amazing tights for kids and babies, Richard told me “We think tights are such a practical garment: from new born to toddlers, whether worn for warmth¬†under clothes or just over a nappy at home. We’ve created really fun and practical cotton rich baby tights with toasty terry toes and non-slip grippers in three detailed designs that both you and your child will love.”

To be honest I just love being involved and its always fun to be around the girls, the tights are available online now and come in amazing packaging so if you have a friend whose having a baby or your having a baby yourself why not take a look at their website and keep up to date with their blog.
