Kirsties Christmas Crafts

KMA Book1

It beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! I’ve actually had 3 photographic Christmas’s this year, so I’ve booked my first Christmas in OZ, where my boyfriends family live. Yeah! The first Christmas shoot was way back in May for Kirstie’s Christmas Crafts. I have to say I love shooting Kirstie’s books, she’s incredibly kind to me, and well I have a soft spot for her, how hard she works as mum, wife and TV presenter, as well as working incredibly hard for some close to her heart charities. This year we worked from an amazing location in Somerset and although we worked for a minimum of 14 hours a day, everyone worked together as a well oiled team. Lisa and Sasha as well as Jamie and Natasha thanks for all you help.

The book is available from September 26th on Amazon I’ll be sharing a few of the images featured in the book and a few out takes over the next few months.

What a busy month! Hope you’ve been busy too? I’ve been a little lax with my blog as of late, but wanted to show you some recent work and thought I’d start with a selection of the portraits I shot of Helen from the award winning blog Design Hunter last month. I love photographing people, and after featuring my series of Warwickshire Open Studios Artists Studio’s on her blog, Helen contacted me to ask if I would photograph her, as she’s often asked for images for press releases.  It was such a great way to spend an afternoon, and afterwards we tucked into some homemade cake and tea with fresh mint from the garden. It hardly felt like work at all!

If you haven’t visited Helen’s blog www.designhunter.co.uk, you should! Its on my bookmarks toolbar and I have to say that I’m addicted to Helen’s destinations features, not your usual city guides, the places in between, Cheltenham and Birmingham so far. I’m hoping that this is the start of a tour around Britain as I’d love to visit some more of her recommendations. Helen3
